Rob Bruce

Rob received his bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1993. He has over ten years of experience in technical support and software development.

Rob brings extensive experience in modeling the knowledge, skills, attributes, and behavioral traits required for individual and organizational success. He has developed comprehensive competency models for a wide spectrum of industries, including airlines, information technology, industrial equipment, and consumer goods. Rob has also designed and implemented software projects for Qwest, the Singapore government, Yale University Medical Center, Morning Fresh Farms, Iowa State University, Russell Ice Cream and Bernea Food Service.

As a DLS strategic partner, Rob designs and implements complex technology solutions for multiple industry sectors. His expertise in multiple system platforms and applications enables him to oversee complex technology platforms as applied to multiple industries. Most recently, Rob designed and programmed a performance evaluation system to gather and analyze meaningful, quantitative data on the relative value of training, coaching, mentoring and other job support.

Prior to his involvement with DLS, Rob was the owner and CEO of Tactile Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of hand-held computer solutions for business. There, he oversaw project management, business development and daily operations. Among his projects was a program to monitor asthmatic patients for the Yale University Medical Program.

Rob is a renowned speaker at various national and international computing conferences, including MacWorld and Eworld. He has also founded and moderated newsgroups such as the BNNRC Archive, devoted to the Newton. He has written a plethora of articles in technical journals, including PIE Developers' Magazine. In his spare time he enjoys hiking and skiing.
