Deborah
Stone A.V. (Andy) Schmit Andy received his bachelor of arts degree in Studio Art / Journalism from Colorado State University. As a strategic partner at DLS, he specializes in graphic design, video production, and multimedia and Internet development. He is adept at integrating photographic, painterly and vector-based graphics into effective layouts. Andy has over a decade of experience creating graphic interface solutions in a variety of design software platforms. Prior to working with DLS, Andy was the vice president of Creative Services, ROI Direct, a leading Application Service Provider (ASP) in the eBusiness space, providing eCommerce development and infrastructure; eMarketing design and broadcast services; as well as inbound eMail management solutions. In this role, he was in charge of team recruitment; design process development and documentation; project scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation; primary client contact for eCommerce design engagements, and HTML design for eMarketing broadcasts. Before ROI Direct, Andy was the creative director at Saba Internet Services, a leading developer of learning infrastructure solutions. His professional responsibilities there included all facets of team leadership, recruiting, project scheduling, performance tracking and team integration with development and product management. Andy was also responsible for user interface design and HTML development for multiple JSP (Java Server Page) enabled eBusiness solutions for education management and delivery. Andy's work has garnered him numerous awards, including the Educational Press Association Distinguished Achievement Award for Excellence in Educational Journalism in the Electronic Media category. He also received the State Farm Insurance Regional Vice President's "Building For Tomorrow" award. Andy is co-author of the book 1001 Director and Lingo Tips, the first-ever published reference to integrate Lingo programming techniques alongside Director's base application functionality. |
